Occurrence of green mold disease on Dictyophora rubrovolvata caused by Trichoderma koningiopsis

چکیده

Dictyophora rubrovolvata is an important edible mushroom that widely cultivated in China. In 2019, a serious rot disease on D. was observed production facility located Ce Heng County, Southwest of Guizhou Province, The causal agent identified as Trichoderma koningiopsis by amplification and sequencing the internal transcribed spacer (ITS) region, translation elongation factor 1-alpha (EF-1?) gene, RNA polymerase II subunit (RPB2) gene followed phylogenetic analysis. Koch’s postulates were confirmed pathogenicity test conducted with healthy rubrovolvata, including re-isolation identification. To our knowledge, this worldwide first report T. pathogen causing green mold disease.

Diversity and effect of Trichoderma spp. associated with green mold disease on Lentinula edodes in China

Lentinula edodes, one of the most important edible mushrooms in China, is affected heavily by the infection of green mold that overgrows mushroom mycelia. We collected the diseased samples from main L. edodes cultivation regions in China to characterize the pathogen and to study the effect of Trichoderma spp. on L. edodes species. We identified six Trichoderma species, that is, T. harzianum, T....

Mini-review: Heat treatments for the control of citrus postharvest green mold caused by Penicillium digitatum

Postharvest green mold, caused by the pathogen Penicillium digitatum (Pers.:Fr.) Sacc., is the most economically important postharvest disease of citrus fruits in Spain, areas with Mediterranean climate, and citrus production areas worldwide characterized by low summer rainfall. Economic losses due to this disease have been typically reduced through the application of synthetic chemical fungici...

Genetically closely related but phenotypically divergent Trichoderma species cause green mold disease in oyster mushroom farms worldwide.

The worldwide commercial production of the oyster mushroom Pleurotus ostreatus is currently threatened by massive attacks of green mold disease. Using an integrated approach to species recognition comprising analyses of morphological and physiological characters and application of the genealogical concordance of multiple phylogenetic markers (internal transcribed spacer 1 [ITS1] and ITS2 sequen...

First Whole-Genome Shotgun Sequence of a Promising Cellulase Secretor, Trichoderma koningiopsis Strain POS7

Trichoderma koningiopsis strain POS7 produces significantly large amounts of cellulase enzymes in solid-state fermentation. The Illumina-based sequence analysis reveals an approximate genome size of 36.6 Mbp, with a G+C content of 48.82% for T. koningiopsis POS7. Based on ab initio prediction, 12,661 coding genes were annotated.
